First, here's what this course DOESN'T teach:

❌ Acoustic fingerstyle techniques such as classical, Flamenco, Travis picking, traditional "country blues," etc.

❌ Picking with your fingernails. All picking is done with the flesh of your fingers in this course.

❌ Picking with all 5 fingers. You'll instead learn a simple-yet-effective 3-finger approach.

❌ Slide guitar. While my other courses are slide-focused, this course is entirely focused on regular fretted playing (though many of the techniques you'll learn can be applied to slide)

So what DOES this course teach?

Basically, look at guys like Mark Knopfler, Derek Trucks (when he isn't playing slide), Jeff Beck (after he stopped using picks), and John Mayer (when he fingerpicks on electric guitar). While this course doesn't specifically focus on any one famous guitarist's technique, it does teach you how to play in the general fingerpicking style of the aforementioned guys.

You'll learn to use your picking-hand thumb, index, and middle fingers to play fluid, nimble lead lines/solos, as well as a variety of nuanced rhythm techniques and patterns.

With this style of fingerpicking you can play almost anything you'd ever want to play on the electric guitar (aside from super-fast shredding, perhaps), with the added benefits of a warmer, more complex tone, greater control over dynamics/articulation, and enhanced sense of "connectedness" to your instrument.
